Human rights; its emergence and its enforcement.

First of all the question arises that what is human rights?
So human rights are the rights that every human being has by virtue of his or her human dignity. Human rights are the sum of individual and collective rights laid down in state’s constitution or international law. They are the supreme inherent and inalienable rights. Human rights are the base of peace in the world.
The human rights are not originated from a single geographical region but it took millions of years to evolve and emerge. Many famous personalities have contributed into it such as: King Hammurabi of west Asia
Pharaoh of ancient Egypt
Great Cyrus of ancient Iran
And Holy Prophet PB UH.

On 10 December 1948 the general assembly of United Nations adopted a documnet consisting of 30 articles named as "Universal Declaration Of Human Rights”.
All the articles of the UDHR describes various rights of humans such as:
Right to life, liberty and security.
Right againt slavery and servitude.
Rights against torture.
Right of free trail.
Right to education.
Right to freedom of expression and opinion and many more.
But if the people have the right to food and shelter than why are 16000 children dying everyday because of starvation.
If people have freedom of speech why are 1000 of them in prison for speaking their minds.
If people have right to education then why are over a billion of adults unable to read.
If slavery has truly been abolished then why 27 million people are still in slave today.

The fact is that when it was signed the UDHR did not have the force of law it was optional and despite many more documnets, conventions and treaties its still a little more than words on page.
So the question is who will make those words a reality?
When Nelson Mandela stood for the social justice in 1990’s his country has agreed to abolish all such discrimination for almost 4 years but still he fought.
Those who fight today against poverty, torture and discrimination. Those who refuse to be silent, who realise that human rights are not history lessons. They are the choices we make every day as an human. They are the responsibility we all share to respect eachother, to help eachother and to take care of eachother are the ones who make those words a reality.
